Samuels Public Library

The Samuels Public Library is one of the oldest public libraries in the country. Samuels Library is also one of the last private libraries in the Commonwealth. The library is governed by a Board of Trustees and has an active Foundation Board, and Friends Board. The library is 11,000 square feet and houses a collection of over 80,000 books. The Samuels Library also has cds, books on tape, music and is a hub of computer activity. The library also features a broad spectrum of community activities including computer classes, youth programs and adult education programs.
Plans are underway to build a new 25,000 square foot library with state of the art equipment and large meeting rooms. Samuels Library is preparing for the future.
